What Does The BMW P1864 Code Mean?

Engine running and vehicle driven, the DME detected a mechanical malfunction within the transmission. The output speed is greater than 300rpm, the transmission oil temperature is greater than 0 degrees Celsius, the engine speed is greater or equal to 600r.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The BMW P1864 Code?

  • Solenoid valves in valve body are faulty
  • Solenoid circuit is shorting to ground
  • Solenoid circuit is open
  • TCM has failed or wiring is shorting
