What Does The Chevrolet P1873 Code Mean?

Condition for setting the DTC:

  • The TFT is less than 60°C (140°F).
  • The torque converter stator temperature switch circuit indicates a hot mode.
  • All conditions are met for 5 seconds.

How Can You Fix The Chevrolet P1873 Code?

  • If the switch and the external wiring are OK, verify the circuit ground integrity through the transmission fluid cooler pipes.
  • Inspect the wiring for poor electrical connections at the PCM.
