What Does The Ford P1280 Code Mean?

Engine started, and the PCM detected the Injector Pressure Sensor (ICP) indicated an out-of-range “low” condition. The ICP sensor is a variable capacitance sensor that, when supplied with a 5v reference signal, produces an analog signal.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Ford P1280 Code?

  • ICP sensor circuit is shorted to ground
  • ICP sensor is “skewed” to the “low” side of its range, or it has failed
  • PCM has failed
