What Does The Kia P1723 Code Mean?

Key on or engine running and the PCM detected the A/T control relay voltage as less than 7 volts. The PCM locks the gear selection into 3rd gear for safety when this trouble code sets.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Kia P1723 Code?

  • O/D “Off” lamp circuit is open between PCM and the TCM
  • O/D “Off” lamp circuit is shorted to ground between the TCM and the PCM
  • O/D “Off” lam circuit is shorted to system power between the TCM and the PCM
